Our Projects
Since our founding in 2017, Space Club RIT has completed over 15 successful missions, ranging from high-altitude rockets to experimental satellites. Here are some of our most notable achievements.
Project Ballonsat
10 March 2018
The HABs was a collaboration project between RIT islampur and IISER Bhopal. It reached an altitude of 33km and traveled around 150km in distance from the launch site.
EPLV-Series
13 December 2021
Our first amateur rocket which aimed to reach an apogee and recover safely. Considering structural aspects, the body tube is 1180mm long and made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride). The inner diameter is 86.5 mm, and the outside diameter is 90 mm.
Project Vaibhav
7 April 2023
Our successful experimental rocket achieved an apogee of 877m and was safely recovered with all flight data. Addressing the structural aspects, the rocket stands at a length of 155 cm with a diameter of 9 cm and a mass of 6581 g. Trapezoidal fins, and the nose cone designed in an ogive shape has a length of 220 mm and 90 mm in diameter.
Regetta 2.0
30 June 2024
LTAs was developed for ‘Regatta’ competition organized by iit Bombay. The competition was focused on the design and operation of a lighter-than-air system, specifically an airship with a controlled propulsion system.
Project Aarambh
08 December 2024
VOYM achieved an actual altitude of 455 meters (AGL) during flight. This mission was assigned to the newly recruited junior members as part of their practical training to provide hands-on experience in rocket design, assembly, and launch operations.
