EPLV-Series

Our first amateur rocket which aimed to reach an apogee and recover safely.

Material
PVC
Diameter
90 mm
Length
1180 mm

The EPLV-Series marked our first foray into amateur rocketry. We designed the rocket with a focus on simplicity and reliability, utilizing readily available PVC for the airframe. The primary goal was to validate our construction techniques and recovery system designs.

Mission Profile
  • Objective: To demonstrate capability and gather data.
  • Status: Mission Completed Successfully.
  • Validation: All systems functioned as designed.
System Architecture
  • Structure: Optimized for stability and weight.
  • Avionics: In-house developed flight computers.
  • Recovery: Parachute deployment system.
Key Achievements
  • Stable flight throughout boost and coast phases.
  • Successful recovery and payload retrieval.
  • Verified data against theoretical models.
Team & Learning
As our first foray into rocketry, the EPLV series taught us the fundamentals of vehicle construction using accessible materials. We learned essential lessons in center-of-pressure calculations and reliable ignition systems.
